Subprojects
Four subprojects are developed within the DELTA project, each one in a river delta in different world region. Each of these subprojects has its own regionally specific focus in relation to the central issues of the overall project.

On the land and in the water: connecting and disconnecting the Mackenzie Delta
This project documents current hydrosocial relations of the inhabitants in the Mackenzie Delta and elucidates how negotiating volatile waters in the Circumpolar North is situated within climatic, economic and wellbeing dynamics.

Living with water: changes, adaptation and continuity along the Ayeyarwady river delta
This PhD project sets out to examine watery and social relations in the Ayeyarwady (Irrawaddy) delta. It looks at how differently positioned people apprehend, experience and deal with hydrosocial variations, and what are the sense of place, time and agency that they derive from that positioning.

Rhythm and relation in watery places: an ethnography of the Parnaíba Delta, Brazil
This project explores how people live and dwell within the Parnaíba Delta. Interested in hydrosocial relations and people's engagement with watery places, the research aims to highlight how delta inhabitants deal with the uncertainty, fluidity and volatility of their environment.

Mollusc Lifeworlds: Gleaning, Rhythm and Relation in the Sine-Saloum Delta, Senegal
This project focuses on the becoming of the Sine-Saloum Delta. It delves into its dwellers' hydrosocial relations with/in an amphibious-volatile environment and their positional negotiations between different forms of discursive and practical engagements with this environment.
